At Torbay Dog Groomers we recognize that each dog is individual and has different and unique needs. We always put the well-being of your dog first, working on a one to one basis with each dog at their own pace to give your dog the best possible experience. We aim to achieve a high quality groom on every dog whilst making the grooming experience an enjoyable one, and never causing stress or distress to any dog in our care.

We groom all breeds, large dogs and small and all sizes in between. Grooming is not a quick procedure for any dog, most have a lot more hair than us! So that must be taken into consideration when thinking about having your dog groomed. Thorough preparation is key to the finished trim so please allow between 2- 3 hrs. depending on breed. Handstripping appointments require more time and so timescales will vary. we are happy to discuss your needs and requirements when booking your appointment.

We do not use restraints on your dog. It is essential that we do not cause stress or distress to any dog in our care and therefore we never use restraints, cages, crates or cabinet dryers. Only one dog is present in the salon at a time (additional dogs from the same family is acceptable) We do not rush the grooming process, we can identify when your dog needs a break and these are given when needed, including free access to a secure outside area. We only use high quality natural products – no harsh chemicals on your dog's coat and skin We work in a modern, fully equipped dog grooming salon. We maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness, sterilising all the equipment and tools between each groom.
Although we uphold the breed standard for all breeds we recognise that all dogs are individual and bespoke trims on your dog are the key to our success bringing out the best in your dog’s shape and character, maintaining the breeds characteristics as well as balancing practicality making trims easy to manage between grooming visits.

 
About Me:

My name is Lauren Breen. My passion is dogs and my horses; all my life has been shared with these wonderful friends. I have many special memories of playing, living and working alongside them, they’re not just pets, but part of the family. Having being around these wonderful, fascinating creatures all my life, I am confident in dealing with dogs of all shapes, sizes and backgrounds.
As a professional groomer I have achieved my City and Guilds Level 2 Certificate and Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming. I regularly attend seminars and training to continue my professional development.  I am fully insured and hold a First Aid for Pets Certificate so you can be assured that your pet is in capable hands.
